Last night, several vehicles in Spalding Mill were broken into. Based on information from Gwinnett County police, it appears the thieves were specifically targeting vehicles in which laptops were visible. In at least one of the break-ins, only the laptop was stolen; a GPS and other electronics were not taken. According to information from the Gwinnett County West Precinct C.O.P.S. Watch website, recently arrested auto thieves have stated that they are targeting upscale and gated communities.

Please remember that vehicles should be parked inside your garages. If you must leave a vehicle outside of the garage, remove all valuables from the vehicle. If anyone sees anything suspicious in the neighborhood, please call 911.
